Winter wonderland

And the snow continues.
We were back at Thorpe Perrow on Sunday, looking a bit different to last time!
Autumn and winter all rolled into one!

First snow!

What is it about snow? It's cold, wet, causes absolute chaos in Britain...but I LOVE it! I still get that excited feeling in my tummy when I wake up to a hushed white world all pure and beautiful!

There are still apples on the tree next door and yesterday the grass was cut, but today snow!

and a beautiful sunset to top it all off nicely!

and a nice hot mocha...

Time

I have been thinking about the perception of time recently. I have come to the conclusion that we all live to our own time scale. When I explained this to my dear hubby, he looked at me strangely and laughed. I pursued it further with him by saying that time was a man made invention anyway, to which he simply snorted.

He is a hare and I am a tortoise. He rarely stops and I struggle to get started! This is fine and as it should be, and mostly we rub along without too much of a problem.
The reason that this has been on mind recently, I believe, is because, ironically! of my ticking body clock. I am growing older, maturing, entering the next stage of my life as a woman. For the first time...ever....in my life I am thinking about what I want from my life. For most of my life I have drifted, gone with the flow and just ...been. Now it feels like I should have a plan....and yet I am struggling a bit with it all. I want to just be but I want a plan too. I want to listen to my body but I also want to take charge of it. All this amid my ever slowing perception of time. It is a challenge!
